Delete your account (in the app)
- Open Hubayo and go to the Profile tab (person icon, bottom right).
- Tap the gear icon (Settings) at the top right.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete or Pause Account.
- Choose Delete Account and tap Continue.
- Tell us why you are leaving (optional), tap Confirm, then Delete in the confirmation box.
Deletion is immediate: you are signed out everywhere, your profile disappears from other members' feeds, likes and chats at once, and your phone number is released so you could sign up again later with a fresh, empty profile.
If you only need a break, choose Pause Account instead — your profile is hidden but nothing is deleted, and you can reactivate with one tap.
Delete only some of your data (keep your account)
- Photos — Profile → tap your photo (Edit profile) → tap a photo → Remove. The file is deleted from our storage straight away. At least one photo must stay on an active profile.
- Prompts, voice prompts and polls — Edit profile → Prompts → remove the prompt. Voice recordings are deleted from storage; votes on a removed poll are deleted with it.
- Bio and profile details — Edit profile: clear any field and save.
- A conversation — open the chat → menu → Unmatch. The match and the whole conversation are deleted for both people.
- Likes you sent — unmatching, or blocking a member, removes the likes between you.
- Location — turn off location access for Hubayo in your phone settings; we keep only your last position and city and stop updating it. Pausing your account hides your location from everyone.
- Push notifications — Settings → Push Notification, or sign out: the device token is deleted on sign-out.
- Support chat attachments — ask us by e-mail (below) and we delete the files.
Request deletion by e-mail
If you cannot access the app (lost phone, changed number), e-mail support@hubayo.com from any address with:
- the subject "Delete my Hubayo data",
- the phone number you signed up with (with country code),
- whether you want the whole account deleted or only specific data (say which).
We confirm the request by sending a code to that phone number on WhatsApp, then complete it within 7 days (at most 30 days) and e-mail you when it is done.
What is deleted when you delete your account
- Your profile: name, e-mail, date of birth, gender, bio, lifestyle answers, interests, languages, location and city.
- All photos, voice prompts and face-verification stills (removed from our storage).
- Every like, rose and comment you sent or received, all matches, all conversations and messages (including photos, files and voice notes in them).
- Notifications, boosts, the push-notification tokens of your devices, and all sign-in sessions.
- Your phone number is detached from the account and freed.
What is kept, and for how long
- Purchase and payment records (what was bought, when, amount, payment reference — never card numbers, which we never see) — kept for 7 years for tax and accounting law.
- Safety reports made by or about the account, and blocks — kept for 2 years so that banned members cannot simply return, and to answer lawful requests.
- Support tickets (your chats with our support team) — kept for 2 years.
- An anonymised account record (internal id, sign-up and deletion dates, the reason you gave) — kept for statistics; it cannot be linked back to you.
- Technical logs (activity and feed logs) are deleted automatically within 60 days; one-time sign-in codes within 24 hours.
- Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
